MSCASA Hosts Statewide Law Enforcement Training

On June 28-29, 2016, MS Coalition Against Sexual Assault hosted the Trauma Informed Victim Interviewing and Investigations Training for Campus and Local Law Enforcement Officers in collaboration with The MS Association of Community and Junior College Student Affairs Officers and The Office of MS Attorney General Jim Hood.

The event took place at The Muse Center at Hinds Community College and welcomed over 200 law enforcement officers, campus security officers, advocates and first responders. National Expert Chief Tom Tremblay covered a law enforcement specific focus on the neurobiology of trauma, the impact of victim trauma on investigations, and the trauma informed victim interview process.
