Event: Walk-A-Mile in Her Shoes

May
27

Join the movement to help end sexual violence. On Saturday, May, 2017 at the Mississippi State Capitol, families from across the state will participate in Walk a Mile in Her Shoes®,  The International Men’s March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault & Gender Violence.

Registration: 8:00 am
Opening: 9:00 am
Walk Begins: 9:30 am
Reception: 11:00 am

We are inviting families to participate in a one-mile walk to raise awareness around the issues of rape, sexual assault and gender violence. This march empowers men to join in the efforts of women, by literally walking in high heels, to make our communities a safer place to live, and it provides an opportunity for communities to talk about these important issues.

Each walker is encouraged to dress in red and wear red high heel shoes (optional) and asked to make a tax-deductible donation of  $10 (Individual) $40 (Team) to help the Mississippi Coalition Against Sexual Assault continue efforts to bring awareness and prevent sexual violence in our communities.

Ways to Participate

You may participate as an Individual.   This is a great way to meet others that are working to end sexual violence.

Form a Team that consists of up to four.  Forming a team to participate in Walk a Mile in Her Shoes, presented by Mississippi Coalition Against Sexual Assault is a great way to have fun with family, friends and coworkers, as well as, to support sexual violence prevention and programming in our community.

Become a Donor by making a charitable contribution to the Mississippi Coalition Against Sexual Assault to support the cause.

Volunteer your time.  There are many opportunities to provide hands-on assistance to ensure that Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is a success!
