This interactive webinar is designed for advocates and civil attorneys interested in learning about the challenges to (and successful strategies for enhancing) justice for American Indian / Alaska Native sexual violence survivors. At the end of this webinar, attendees will be able to explain who are Native survivors, where they live, and what is tribal sovereignty; articulate some of the challenges survivors – and those who serve them – are likely to confront in accessing legal assistance and advocacy; glean tips for working effectively with Native survivors; and identify creative civil remedies to help survivors achieve justice post-assault. Co-presented with the Southwest Center for Law and Policy.
