Campus Program Webinar
TOPIC: A Guide to Safety Planning with Victims of Campus Sexual Violence
SPEAKER: Lindy Aldrich, Esq., Victim Rights Law Center
DESCRIPTION: A single incident of sexual assault can undermine a victim’s physical and emotional safety. Students are often entirely dependent on the college or university to create a safe learning environment. Effective safety plans empower victims and can help them reclaim a sense of safety and security. The new release of the Safety Planning guide, developed in partnership with Victim Rights Law Center and the Mississippi Coalition Against Sexual Assault, addresses the unique challenges and opportunities presented when creating a safety plan that meets the specific needs of victims in a campus environment, explores how safety planning for these survivors may be different than safety planning with domestic violence victims.
