MSCASA - Mississippi Coalition Against Sexual Assault

MS Rural Education and Prevention Task Force

MS-REAP

The Mississippi Rural Education and Prevention Project is a program funded through the Rural Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault and Stalking Assistance Program provided by the U.S. Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women. The purpose of this project is to address the lack of available resources needed to assist Mississippi’s nine (9) sexual assault programs in developing and/or expanding current efforts to provide adequate services to victims of sexual assault, dating violence and stalking in the rural communities. This grant allows services to sixty-eight (68) counties in Mississippi that are defined as rural by the U.S. Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women. As a part of this grant, MCASA has partnered with the nine (9) sexual assault programs across the state to provide community prevention education and increase awareness of dating violence, sexual assault and stalking in these communities.
