DESCRIPTION: This webinar will provide an overview of non-fatal strangulation assaults and how investigators can conduct a trauma informed investigation to uncover the evidence of strangulation and the impact of trauma on victims. We will discuss the interconnected nature of strangulation with other crimes including domestic/dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking, and why risk / lethality assessment is critical in these cases. The webinar will provide helpful guidance on victim interview questions, how to enhance your investigation of this crime, and resources for you and your department to consider to assist in assessing your departments response to strangulation.

This webinar is open to all campuses and organizations
